There are two pieces of advocacy that are needed for you to immediately participate in. Congress has extended the deadline for an omnibus to December 23 that will keep the government running, from a budget standpoint.
In that legislation there are 2 possibilities without them intervening. Home Health will see a 3.9% decrease in rates which erases the 4% Market Basket increase. In addition to that, it is now being suggested that they decrease the Hospice Cap to pay for other things in this legislation that are not even related to Hospice.
It is imperative that you immediately respond to this advocacy request. Below are links to the National Association for Home Care and Hospice sponsored advocacy where you will put in your information and send the letter to Congress telling them you wish them to fix this problem:
It is truly imperative that we get a response from you immediately. Again, the omnibus was extended to December 23, but Congress wants to go home for the holidays, so it could be happening any minute now. Please take heed to this and send your emails to Congress.
