The Home Health Final Rule for 2024 that was published at the beginning of November contained many changes – including ones that will specifically impact the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing Model in 2025.
Under the VBID model, hospices are subject to the activity involved in the demonstration when a patient is enrolled in one of the participating benefit plan packages. In September 2023, the VBID demonstration participation list was updated, as it is every September, for the period of January through December of 2024.
The Home Health Final Rule for 2024 was published on November 1, 2023, and with it comes many changes. The outlined changes in the 531-page document will go into effect starting on January 1, 2024.
