The July release of the Interim Performance Reports (IPR) were released at the end of July, and the reports include the first quarter of 2025 OASIS Outcome Measures, along with the remaining measures through December 31, 2024. Be sure to review them carefully, especially if you’re tracking your progress for the first quarter of 2025 to evaluate how you are advancing toward your 2025 results.
Additionally, the Annual Performance Report was issued in late August. You have a 15-day window from its release date to dispute any findings you believe are inaccurate. Be sure to provide supporting documentation to justify why you believe the information is incorrect when requesting a recalculation. Remember, the deadline to file any challenges is September 5, 2025 for the Preview Reports.
In the coming weeks, preliminary reports for the annual update will be released. These reports will also provide an opportunity to submit challenges; however, you can only do so if you previously contested the preview results. You will have 15 days from the release of the preliminary reports to file the challenge.
Keep in mind that the July 2025 Interim Report also included the final Achievement Thresholds and Benchmarks from 2023, which are being applied to the 2025 results calculations. In addition, the report provides each agency’s specific Improvement Thresholds, which are tied to the individual provider number and appear only in that provider’s report.
The Interim Performance Report also continues to include the results of the Total Normalized Composite Change Measures, along with the individual M1800 item percentage results. These show whether the M1800 items reflect no change, a positive change, or a negative change, and provide comparisons to the national results. It’s important to note that the Total Normalized Composite Change Measures were removed from Value-Based Purchasing in 2025. However, the Bathing and Dressing Items for both upper and lower body have been proposed for inclusion in the 2026 version. Because of this, you can still review the data provided in the composite change measures for those specific areas to identify whether additional education or improvement efforts are needed as you prepare for 2026.
