In mid-November, Hospice Preview Reports were released containing information about your Hospice. The information in these reports will be made available as part of the February 2024 refresh of the Care Compare website. Between November 15 and December 15, you’ll have the opportunity to thoroughly review the Preview Reports and report any discrepancies or issues you find in your data. It’s crucial to ensure the accuracy of your Hospice information as it will be publicly available on the Care Compare site for anyone with internet access to view.

Information included in the Hospice Preview Reports includes claims data, which is used in the calculation of your Hospice Care Index (HCI). The HCI is not only significant for its display on Care Compare, but it also plays a role in determining Hospices that are included in the upcoming Hospice Special Focus Program, set to begin in January 2024. As part of the Special Focus Program, your HCI is used in an algorithm to determine if your Hospice is among the 10% selected for inclusion in the program.
Once the reporting window closes on December 15th, Hospice Preview Reports will remain accessible for an additional 30 days for your review. In February 2024, this data will then become available as part of the Care Compare website refresh and will appear on the site, allowing anyone to review and compare your Hospice with others in your area.
On January 18, 2024, Healthcare Provider Solutions will host a free webinar called Hospice Special Focus Programs (SFP). This webinar will provide an in-depth discussion and more details about the Hospice Special Focus Program. To register for our free webinar, click here.
