About the Event
Face-to-face requirements have not changed much since 2015 yet remain an ongoing hardship for many Home Health agencies. Even worse than the resources it takes to educate physicians and track down good documentation, are the requirements that agencies discover they aren’t meeting when charts are medically reviewed. By then it is too late to correct the myriad of errors on billed claims. This session will cover the applicable regulations that guide Face-to-Face requirements; the latest updates from CMS and the MACs, aspects of the Face-to-Face encounter that are often unknown or misunderstood; supplementing the Face-to-Face; alignment of the primary diagnosis with the primary reason for Home Health; the impact of PDGM on Face-to-Face alignment and ability to receive reimbursement. This session will also review real life encounter examples to assist administrators, intake staff, and clinical leadership with identifying and resolving Face-to-Face issues.
