About the Event

This webinar is directed at home health PTs, OTs, SLPs, Quality Improvement and Administrators/Managers responsible for the success of the home health agency. Audits for medical necessity can be a headache, time consuming and a financial burden for providers. This course examines the most common reasons claims are denied and CMS expectations for effective documentation. Problems are often traced to issues such as documentation lacking medical necessity and skill provided. In this webinar we will demonstrate how to document effectively and accurately. Participants will be able to identify reasonable and necessary criteria for skilled therapy services and develop and write functional based goals. This workshop will describe and implement the necessary components of documentation to support skilled therapy services for reimbursement. We will review regulatory requirements for medical necessity, how to recognize common mistakes and will highlight how to skillfully paint a picture of the patient.
