About the Speaker(s)
Tammy Stewart is a Registered Nurse who joined Healthcare Provider Solutions, Inc. (HPS) as a Clinical Consultant in August 2021. She is a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality and holds a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification. As a part of the HPS clinical consulting team, Tammy provides support and solutions to home health and hospice agencies across the country to achieve regulatory compliance.
Tammy’s commitment to service and compassionate nursing care started 30 years ago when she began providing care to patients as a home health nurse after receiving her degree from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout her nursing career, she has worked in various capacities within the home health, hospice, and hospital industries and has participated in multiple accreditation surveys for The Joint Commission. Her experience includes successfully starting a Hospice QAPI program and serving as a Hospice Quality Manager. She has worked at the bedside as hospice nurse providing care to patients in their home and in General Inpatient (GIP) settings.

This session will provide steps for building or rebuilding your QAPI Program to improve your agency’s overall compliance and performance. You will understand the importance of data collection and analysis to drive performance improvement as well as how to develop a comprehensive QAPI Plan.
