Hospice Compliance – one of the greatest challenges facing hospice providers today! Constant movement in the ever-evolving regulatory landscape, including updated hospice survey protocols. This workshop will establish a foundation for all hospice clinical and administrative staff, including hospice billers. For more effective understanding of the Medicare regulations, this workshop will take you into that deep dive. Topics that will be addressed include: Survey Readiness, the Hospice Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) Program, Emergency Preparedness and the overall Hospice Quality Reporting Program details. The detail of the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) will reviewed and answers given to some of the top questions hospices have.

Hospice Eligibility requirements and the required documentation may seem like a boring topic, but the reality is that it remains one of the leading reasons for denial. This all day session will take you through the documentation required for the patient to be hospice eligible, billing requirements and also cover the VBID model and the PEPPER reports that could lead to Medical Review. This workshop will lay a concrete foundation for hospice billers, as well as, any hospice staff that need to more effectively understand the Medicare regulations. The Hospice 2024 Proposed Rule will be reviewed, including any rate changes, etc. that may be contained in the rule. Be among the elite group of hospice professionals that are current on all Hospice Medicare reimbursement related regulations.
