Reviewing Changes Outlined in the OASIS-E1 Final Guidance Manual

Additionally, two items will be removed entirely, a change anticipated due to their limited relevance in OASIS calculations. Three existing items have been revised refer to the manual for further details on those updates. Lastly, the skip pattern for M0102 has been updated.

New Regulation Requiring Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage to Include BFCC-QIO Information

If you are providing home health services to a patient enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, you are now required to issue the Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage. This notice must include information about the BFCC-QIO, allowing patients the opportunity to appeal decisions related to their discharge.
