About the Event

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to protect healthcare workers from contracting coronavirus. This new standard became effective June 21, 2021, when it was published in the Federal Register. The New ETS establishes requirements for settings where employees provide healthcare or health care support services, which includes home healthcare. Employers must comply with most provisions within 14 days, by July 6, 2021, and with the remaining provisions within 30 days, by July 21, 2021.
