Hospice Compliance continues to evolve and includes multiple moving parts. This workshop will address some of the greatest challenges facing hospice providers today! This workshop will lay a concrete foundation for all hospice clinical and administrative staff, as well as, hospice billers.  If you need to more effectively understand the Medicare regulations, this workshop is for you.  Among the topics that will be addressed: Survey Readiness, the “Patient Notification of Hospice Non-Covered Items, Services, and Drugs” addendum, live discharges, extreme lengths of stay – both long and short, timely completion and updates to the comprehensive assessment.

We will address the appropriate use of the Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN) in the hospice setting including its use with hospice level of care changes and when hospice eligibility is no longer supported. QAPI is a topic that Hospices would rather forget about, but it is a fact of operating as a Medicare Certified Hospice and we will cover the details of a successful QAPI Program the the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP). Other hot topics will include updates to Medical Review and Eligibility Documentation Requirements.
