Healthcare Provider Solutions (HPS) will evaluate all home health processes from the intake department through and including posting of the cash receipt for payment of services. This evaluation will include interviews with and observations of key individuals involved in the day-to-day processes. During the course of the evaluation, recommendations will be made regarding job descriptions, current duties, documentation flow, tracking mechanisms, etc. While recommendations will be made throughout the evaluation to help implement immediate changes, a full report will be issued at the conclusion of the evaluation of all the findings and recommendations. This evaluation will also include issues relating to regulatory requirements, as well as, documentation flow and organizational structure.

As a part of this evaluation we will review a sample of Medicare claims and explain how to utilize the final claim audit tools we have developed. We will also review your T-status claims to determine if there are any significant problems that should be caught during your final claim billing audit.

We will also review a sample of charts for documentation, OASIS consistency and ICD-9 coding compliance. From this review, we will be able to determine if there are any issues that may need to be addressed with your clinical staff and whether any additional specific OASIS and/or ICD-9 Coding training will be needed.
