Medicare PPS Billing - One Day Seminar

Billing is a very critical part of home health. This workshop will lay a concrete foundation for new billers, as well as, experienced billers by giving billers a more effective approach to the Medicare PPS regulation, conducting Medicare verifications and understanding adjustments. We will discuss Medicare verifications on patients with HIQH screen examples & review adjacent episode calculations - field by field on claim forms. We will review the process of auditing a pre-bill for final claim purposes, both Medicare and Non-Medicare Payers, and review the details of billing for Non-Routine Supplies using list and billing guidelines. Direct Data Entry Screens will also be reviewed.

Medicare PPS Basic and Advanced Billing - Two Day Seminar

Billing is a very critical part of home health. The Basic session of this workshop will lay a concrete foundation for new billers, as well as, experienced billers by giving billers a more effective approach to the Medicare PPS regulation, conducting Medicare verifications and understanding adjustments. The Advanced session will go into Medicare Secondary Payer and Medicare Part B Therapy billing in addition to an in-depth review of the final claim audit process.  Numerous billing scenarios are presented with discussion. 


OASIS-C - 1 1/2 Day Seminar    

OASIS-C, among other changes, rushed in on January 1, 2010. This workshop will take clinicians through numerous aspects of the OASIS-C process. The first session will review some administrative process changes that will be required to be effective with OASIS-C such as revamping of intake forms, reporting of M0110 and defining a correction policy. The remaining sessions in Day 1 will review each section on the OASIS-C and review specific instructions on completion of these items based on the OASIS-C Guidance Manual and specific Q&A from CMS. Day 2 will be more specific to the reimbursement impact of OASIS-C and include review of the adjustments that can be quite painful in the PPS system and how clinicians make decisions that affect these adjustments. The OASIS "M" items that impact reimbursement will then be scrutinized and helpful assessment strategies reviewed. One part of the OASIS process that tends to be over looked when educating clinicians is the reimbursement impact of the questions, including the affect of diagnosis coding. The workshop covers the reimbursement issues, as well as, the reporting aspect. NonRoutine Supply reimbursement is defined by the answering of OASIS-C items. This workshop will dedicate an entire session to the review of the NRS calculation, reimbursement, orders requirements, etc. Send any and everyone in your agency that is involved in the OASIS-C process, including the encoding and transmission clerk.
